Hi All, I have a C70 '04 plate with the Premium Dynaudio 13 speaker ProLogic, SC901, 4x100 amp setup I have unfortunately blown the passenger door woofer. How easy is it to source a Dynaudio replacement? If not, what size is it for a replacement? Any suggestions for similar quality brands? TIA Shevek

I'd look for one that's being broken mate, coupe or convertible, GT spec, as the standard speakers are the nuts.

I find the standard system set on pro logic is quality, and made me realise how bad the standard Cougar speakers were.
I have loads of these spare in my shed. Is it the big round 6 inch one?
I think that's the size... There are different ones though, the GT spec (like mine) have high end Dynaudo speakers...

I've done some further research and it's the 8" speaker that I need - part no 3533793

I had Focal's in the front of the S70. Running on a dedicated 2 channel Alpine amp. They set me back over £300. You have to spend quite a lot to get something better than the standard set up.

I found running a quality sub and taking the low frequency sound away from the OE speakers a good way of adding clarity to the sound and giving the potential to turn it up a fair bit more. Good aftermarket headunit is also a must.

Isn't the big 8inch ones at the rear of the car and not in the door
Isn't the big 8inch ones at the rear of the car and not in the door
This is what I have found from various places: Convertible & Coupe: Pair of 1 inch tweeters in the dash and either the Dolby centre speaker or Road Traffic pod in the centre 4 inch mid and 8 inch bass in each door Convertible: 1 inch tweeter and 6.5 inch mid bass in each side panel 9 inch sub in each rear seat (option I think) Coupe: pair of 1 inch tweeters and 8 inch bass in the parcel shelf This is from various posts and wiring and parts diagrams across the 'net
doors are deep enough for a tidy 8inch sub i reckon
I was thinking that, but worried it would stop the windows from dropping all the way Or even shatter them! Plus I already have 2 x 9" subs in the back seats :D
