Kids make you so proud. My 11 year old Luke plays for the Arsenal Football Academy and even though I don't follow football I am very proud of him. Out of the 115 boys who tried out to get in only 14 were selected, Luke was one of them. He's been there for all this season and yesterday was his second to last match. We travelled up to Bristol for the game. The match finished 3-2 to Arsenal which was great as it means they will finish minimum 3rd or hopefully 2nd by the end of the season. What topped it off yesterday was my Luke scored all 3 goals. It was 2-2 in the last quarter when we got a penalty. My boy stepped up, no nerves and just belted it into the top corner. I had a tear in my eye. Mike :thewave:

Sounds really good and Luke could be a future goal scoring talent. I was proud when my lad used to score for Great Harwood Rovers, never mind the Arsenal. Hope he goes all the way.

Congratulations. Also, Arsenal could do with a decent striker as their current forwards are useless lol

That must have felt fantastic. Sounds like a promising talent. I am an Arsenal supporter and we could do with some rising talent! You should start following the football, he would no doubt love it if you got right into it. My boy is just coming up for 5 and it's amazing how great he makes me feel and how proud I am of him. He watched my bike trackday yesterday and to him I was a hero. Awesome feeling.
