Hello all. Image Here she be, my new '97 Volvo 940se LPT estate, with whom I'm well pleased!!! I did briefly own a 740 for a road trip around Europe but left it with a friend shortly after returning. As of last week, I have one back in my life and I made sure it had the redblock, m90 box and LH2.4. (150k, one previous owner, and full dealer service history.) So far I've simply fitted a boost control valve (set at 10psi), boost gauge, and air/fuel gauge. I look forward to being a part of the UK Volvo community. Toby

Welcome to the forum Toby, do you have any other plans for it?

Thank you! Well I fitted a roofrack yesterday as I want it to look as standard and prudish as poss. But more importantly, I'm after a chip to broaden the fueling map (perhaps Fred's Chip?), blue injectors and a t17 turbo.

(Service and compression test first though!)

Follow smithy's example and soon you too could break the 139bhp barrier LOL. :welcome:

10psi feels a lot more than 140bhp. (I hope it is anyway!) Fitted a cone filter yesterday and man, it sounds good. I would say it's also noticeably more responsive.

Welcome to the forum! LOADS of tuning potential in a B230FK, and I can recommend Fred's chips - transformed my 940 Classic! Only went as far as a 15G on mine but I did change the cam for an A profile, changed the injectors, fitted Fred's chips, an Iveco intercooler, 3in turbo back exhaust, and did some work on the head including some porting and nervously cutting some Somender Singh grooves (see http://somender-singh.com/content/view/7/31/ ). Made 232BHP IIRC :D Like you, I wanted a std looking car - I've only REALLY regretting selling two cars, my old 855R and this 940 which was absolutely mint - it was a potential concours car :( I stripped all the good bits off and sold them separately and subsequently sold the car to a bloke who wanted it for towing a caravan. What a waste...
