Hi all thinking about tee ing off the pcv pipe from the top off the engine near the oil filler cap that runs down to the oil trap. Was planing on joining on to the pipe under the inlet manifold then runing a sort of upside down u bend to stop any oil leaking out then run it down to vent into atmosfere near the sump. I had my whole pcv replaced last year but think my valve guides may be worn causing more pressure than my pcv can cope with. Done the glove test and theres pressure there and smoke from oil filler cap and a bit from dip stick

who replaced it? if you have excess crank case pressure there may well be a underlying cause. My valve stem seals were worn on mine but i didnt have any pcv smoke.

did they replace just the PCV unit or the pipes as well, pipes getting blocked with oil seems to cause more problems than the PCV itself
