auto oil cooler is built into the side of the radiator, they are a one piece item, did you mean the air con rad ??

So fitting an aftermarket cooler should be an issue . Check cos mine is an auto and has the extra cooler fitted i asume as standard t5 gt c70 p1
No i mean the oil cooler
you've lost me, as a standard auto t5 normally has two oil coolers and they are built into the end caps of the radiator, on the offside is the engine oil cooler and on the nearside is the autobox oil cooler, the radiator has the aircon radiator bolted to it with the intercooler sandwiched in between the two of them, no separate coolers, unless someone has been kind and fitted some aftermarket ones.
he means the additional Volvo auto trans oil cooler that can be accessory fitted. normally required if you fit a towbar but used when pushing out extra power to keep the temps down.

Still need a answer to post no:1 please.
have you already got one fitted steve? do88 said if you have take a picture of the cooler from under the car and they will probably be able to see if their I/c would fit
This is the auto tranny oil cooler its a Volvo part and is fitted at the front of the engine low down. Most caravan towers would have one of these fitted if driving an auto Its a Volvo part since about 1987 and is still available today as it fits All 850/V70/XC70/XC90 and maybe more. I am thinking that at worst you might have to relocate it further forward, and maybe re-route the hoses if they go between the rad and bumper beam.
Yeah maybe I just thought it was dead simple as loads of cars must have these. I just thought someone would say "No mate or yes mate but you need too..." Anyway I will make it fit even if I need to carve it out of Oak. I seen it loads on here people saying " if you mod an auto you will need to upgrade the tranny cooling" well this is how Volvo do it.
I don't think as many owners as should have did actually fit these when installing a towbar in particular due to the price. iirc about £400 for the kit. I reackon worst case scenario is pirtek or similar extend to the hoses to allow re-routing. surely the o/c unit will relocate easily if needed . hang it under the bumper bar if it is in conflict with the I/c.
