Good Evening, I am Andrew from West Sussex and I have just bought an '05 V50 T5 AWD as my first foray into the world of Volvo's. I was trying to figure out what to buy for ages, and I couldn't actually find anything as quick, comfortable, safe and well equipped as the V50 for the same money! Very chuffed, even if the MPG is awful the effortless and smooth acceleration and drive puts a nice smile on my face (on my monumental 3 mile commute to work!) Are there any other members down on the South Coast? Look forward to maybe seeing some of you around and drawing on your collective knowledge when things go wrong (but hopefully not!) Thinking of maybe a remap some time, but not too sure of the options at the moment! We shall see! Anyways, over and out! Andrew

Welcome. Its probably the combination of awd and the auto box thats giving the ££££e mpg. Anyway, nice car and there are a few members down south.
Welcome. Its probably the combination of awd and the auto box thats giving the sh*te mpg. Anyway, nice car and there are a few members down south.
And my lack of patience/heavy foot don't help either I suspect!

Welcome aboard, nice to see another newer model in the fold :) Lack of patients and a heavy right foot.. Ya gonna fit right in here lol. There's a big event in 2 weeks in Somerset. Hundreds of swedish motors spanning all the major forums there's a thread here somewhere, I'll post a link in a bit. It's on Sunday the 11th, perhaps you can make it? I'll be a good chance to poke about a load of other cars and gauge your options for fettling your own car. There's also a southern meet that usually has some cracking cars turn up. Martin.
