Hello. Is there any way of testing these to see why the boost aint holding pressure.
Hello. Is there any way of testing these to see why the boost aint holding pressure.
I have an actuator testing rig, it's nothing special but it does work. Easy way to test the dv would be to remove it and bung the hole, see how the car behaves.
Does the turbo have to come off to remove the dv. Shame ur at the other side of the country. Or I would be there at weekend to test it.
Is it a dump valve you're referring to or the recirc valve that's attached to the turbo? The recirc can be tested with the actuator tester to some extent.
If you have a recirculating valve to test.......just follow back the hose that goes back to the inlet manifold from it and remove it from the spigot and just suck on the hose and put it on your tongue....if it drops off it`s leaking!!
Yum
I`ll be make a rig to test my DV out of some old pipe fittings. :)
It is a re circ valve off the turbo. silly question 960 kg. To do this test with engine running or not.

Question. ...... if the actuator was knackered.....would it still be trying to deliver 1 bar of boost
