I am thinking of doing a new colour on my wheels, they do not need a refurbish but seek advice to what people think. Leave alone. Re-Powder coat. Would like a medium grey. Would like to fit Ixion's but at £1400.00 bit over the top.
What about painting front callipers Polestar Blue.
Your comments and advice would be fully appreciated.

Save up for 19" Ixions :)
It'll be worth the wait.

Avon ZZ5 £140 each. but the guy's just spent a small fortune on a car that'll do less than 2K a year so I doubt it's a concern lol

Thanks for the advise. As an Architect I am great at advising others but crap at deciding anything for myself. You are correct silver for the callipers. Not interested in 19" I believe the ride quality suffers. But may see what the real cost of a set of Ixions are. Again thanks for the help.

That sounds like someone I know....:uglyhamme
I would guess you would be looking at. £180 to £250 for some nice rubber per rim.
then the cost of rims so 2-2.5k for some new wheels :shockedbi

That's a cheap price, what's the quality like? 19" tyres for mine are around £220 a corner for a good make like Michelin.

Loads of us have been using zz5s for ages Mike. Very good all round tyres, great in the wet, brilliant in the dry, quiet and long lasting.
this is on a nose-heavy fwd car tho, don't know what they'd be like on a rwd.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 being fitted Thursday @ £130 per corner. Had a price for 4 18" Ixions total of £1600.00 excluding fitting. Maybe my next Mod. Rather spend it on the car rather than give it to the Tax Man. LOL

Sorry to mislead you the £130 per corner was for the Goodyears. The price for the Michelin's is £143 per corner. Black Circle price £158 per corner. Still a good price @ £143 per corner.

Keep your eye on the VOC forums, there have been a few sets of Ixions on there for sale over the last few months

I would if I could but I received a lifetime ban 3 years ago and I do not think they will let me rejoin. I have applied but my ban was for posting political posts so I do not hold out much hope. So have not even bothered to Join the VOC. If you do come across any give me a shout.

Picked up after new tyres fitted too early to tell but a lot smoother and a lot less noise.
