Welcome, good to have another rag top owner around :)

Look for the chassis brace underneath - if it doesn't have one fitted as standard & strut brace too. The ragtops loose a lot of stiffness when they chop the roof off & are renowned for skuttle shake when you start to push them. For that reason I'd be inclined to keep the suspension fairly soft & go no larger than 17 inch wheels.
:welcome:
That said I have only been out in 1 ragtop.

thanks wobbly dave...do you not think it wise to lower it then ..its just that the rear seems to sit up in the air a bit,i was going to lower it and find some 18 wheels to set it of a bit..and add the strut brace also..thanks again for the advice.

The subframe brace should already be bolted on

I'd look to borrow some 18s before investing - just see how it rides. Ride quality is a very personal thing so you might like it.
I love my eibach springs & they have flattened Betsy out a treat but I know scuttle shake can be an issue on the ragtops - just so long as you know that when you push it hard the back end may feel even more skittish, due to the flex in the floorpan & lack of roof.
The genuine volvo strut brace is widely found - look on partsforvolvosonline - costs about 70 quid new - this is my engine bay with the brace fitted. Pay no notice to the big filter thing.

There's also extra bracing on the front subframe under the engine.
