Hi people,
I am now a proud owner of a 1996 850 T5 estate!
My word what a car, looking forward to enhancing and nurturing the power, some really nice cars on the forum here hope I can make mine half as good.
All the best Dave.

Welcome aboard - I too have a 96 t5 estate and was new on here once - its a great forum, I have learned a lot and had great help in times of need.
Pop some pics up - bet yours looks better than mine which is now a bit of a shed, though still running its orginal zorst. Its been a landlord and odd-job man mobile for me and previous owner, plus family and dog mobile for 5 years. happy years i add. Better fuel consumption than my 1.1L Metro and more fun tool!!
I hope yours does you as well as mine has!!

Thanks guys,
Nice to have so many people welcome me not often found on forums these days!
I have some photos on my phone that I will post up when they download to pc then will try to get them on here.
Spent this afternoon doing a brake bleed and oil change along with some boost pipe changes, this car just gets better every second driven it for about 50 miles in total and brings a smile to my face, a Volvo SHOULD not make these noises o be this quick!

Welcome to the fold, good to see your enjoying your new toy. Your quite right though, you wouldn't expect a Volvo to go or make noises like the T5's do, imagine what it will be like if you start modifying it ;)

Oh I am in trouble with the wife already on the modifying part lol, want to get it running right as standard before starting to modify, that won't be long ;)

Welcome to the Forum! As others have already said, it's a great place to be and chock-full of cracking advice!
Your car looks very much like my sadly stolen and burnt-out 850 T5 did - except mine had several parts from my previous V70 P1, including a dark grey/black spoiler and the "V" stuck in front of 850 to denote that it was 20% V70 :pimp2:
I replaced her with an R - fast? Well my £88 donation to the "Old Bill Benevolent Fund" for 81MPH on the A14 speaks for itself :cop::yikes:

That does scarily look like mine, sorry to hear of its sad demise! Just got back from workshop and have titivated the rear as a stop gap until I get time to have her in for a total strip down and respray.
It now looks almost identical, down to the black roof spoiler.
I now want an R but want to make this one faster and shiny first . Will post some more pictures in a bit of todays work, but probably in the general discussions bit.
Thanks for the welcome :)

Looks like you got a totally standard, unfetled car there. Well done and look forwards to the mods and bring back to life threads!!
