World Cup 2014 Sweepstake

The 2014 'World Cup' is almost here and as I did for Euro 2012 I thought it would be fun to arrange a little sweepstake for anyone interested. I have no real interest in Football, but I know some of you will be glued to the screen for the duration, this may add a little more interest. It is very simple, there are only 2 things to note : 1) The first 32 members who add their names to a numbered list will be allocated a team, if there are fewer than 32 names by Thursday 2359 some of you will be allocated 2 teams. 2) The draw to allocate teams will be done on Friuday 13th June by myself and the Mrs (Nobber72) we will not be taking part in the sweepstake. We will also not take bribes lol That's it really, I may dig around and find a half decent Volvo related prize for the winner.....just thought it would be a bit of fun.

This has been one strange world cup,normally you can predict the teams going through,but i don't know if it is to do with the heat or humidty but the minnow teams are really giving the big teams a run for their money. Brazil were lucky not to go out when Chile hit the post,Algeria played their socks off,and the Swiss hacked the Argies to pieces in what was one of the worst games of the tournament.i was hoping Messi was going to score a couple as i have £20 on him to win the golden boot..
