Hey all I'm a new owner, younger than most owners as an 23 always liked volvos so bought my first a month ago now just playing around with a few basic ideas for tuning etc.
After reading most would say save your money for a proper t5 as the 2.0t engines aren't massively strong.
So I won't be spending much on this volvo just a few cheap tweeks and then drive until buying a decent version.
Anyone got any ideas about tuning? Was thinking of taking the td04 12t off and replacing for a 16t for a bit more boost

Welcome along. Easiest way to get more oomph would be a remap. Cheaper and less agro than changing the turbo.

Welcome to the forum from a C70 T5 GT owner. Don't listen to MRP, he drives a wardrobe mover ;) Yeah, a 16t would be a good upgrade, then a remap once it's on, remapping an engine with a 12t isn't going to give you much, as the 12t will soon run out of puff.

Thanks guys yes I did think the 12t was a bit of a pathetic turbo.
It's such a good car for what I paid for it, couple of minor things such as the passenger side door not unlocking from the handle, so passengers have to climb in through the drivers side.
What bhp max does the 2.0t engine take?

I think you can get close to where the t5 starts - about 225bhp.

Yeah I suppose the right cash etc
So I'm having trouble finding a 3 inch downpipe for my c70
I might fabricate one at work as only find the obx version at 300+ quid

Welcome to the club! My first c70 T5 I owned at 23 also! After a few years away from Volvo's I'm back with a c70 2.0t, and it has a lot of ummph much like the T5! I'm interested in this thread now and how you progress as I may steal some of your ideas too! ;)
