Hello, Just signed up as I've just got my first Volvo.... Which raised a few comments and stereotype reactions.... As I'm not a grandad yet!! (Mid 40's actually) Been a Ford (RS) fan originally then a SEAT fan for the last 15 years!!! Cupra's and FR's A move around on jobs meant my other half and I have changed our cars..... So my old Ibiza FR diesel got sold and replaced with Ibiza Cupra for the Mrs.... and her 2.2D Civic has gone and I get a shinny 9 month old V40 I never liked her Civic, so the V40 is in a different league. Have to say following the german crowd wasn't appealing, boring Audi's A3's, cramped and ugly 5 door 1 Series.... An old S60 had opened my eyes and prejudice years ago when I was lent one for a few months as temporary company car, I also nearly bought a C30 last year......:) The V40 I've dropped on to is an Ex Volvo UK car, D4 R Designs, top spec, with the optional Sports suspension. Plus just about all the options except full leather.... In shinny red :) I tried a D3 R-Designs, and felt it a bit under powered and soft.... So finding a D4 with Sports suspension at my local dealer was amazing stroke of luck as it seems this is a rare spec. Coming from my previous cars the ride I find "normal" though I read negative comments about the sports option. The amount of tech and electronics is bit of a learning curve !!! That said I'm looking into the chipping options.... it feels like there's so much more that could come from the engine and package.... shame Polestar don't do anything for the D4 variant.
