Hi all,
Looking at replacing the shocks and springs on my V70 Ph2 with some new lowered ones
I have searched the threads but have had conflicting reports as what's needed due to my nivomats on rear
Can anyone that has done this please enlighten me
John

Hi John,
Are your Nivomats any good? Not sure if they will fit my 855 R. Looking for a replacement set for mine.
Cheers

Please if you would. Just put a post up and had a reply from a couple of peeps already. Was thinking it would be impossible to pick these up used?

P2 nivomats won't fit an 850.
To lower a P2 that has nivomats, all you need to do is remove the nivomats and replace them with standard shocks (or sports shocks).
You'll be able to sell your old springs and shocks for about 100 to 150 quid depending on condition. The caravan types love 'em.

Thanks John

No, direct fit. If you were going from standard to nivs, you need to change the mount but not the other way round.
Did mine a couple of years ago. (avoid Apex springs)

This might sound a totally retarded question (it usually is), but how do you tell if you have these?

the nivos have like a rubber boot to them...

Cheers chaps. I was wondering about this the other day. I suppose I could actually look under the back of the car at some stage!
