Spent the weekend looking and driving a few cars, new 2014 shape Nissan Quaskai, new shape 2014 Kia Sportage, Ford Focus, Ford Kuga and BMW 1 series. We put a deposit down on an ex demo Quaskai, but something was telling me don't do it. So just got back and on Wednesday we pick up this lol. Image Image As soon as we sat in it, we knew we wanted it. It's the new MK7 golf, 2.0 GT diesel blue motion. We like our German cars and the build quality is just lovely, better than our Audi A3 and totally above anything else we tried over the weekend. It's there own demonstrator so registered December 2013 with 3000 miles on the clock. Lots of toys which we like and average fuel economy of around 55mpg and £20 year car tax. They may be a bit bland looking but for the money (£4000 off a brand new one) I'm sure it will serve us well for 5 years like the Audi has done.

Build quality is pants on the new vw's the touran has been in the garage 3 times since Easter, a 61 plate, 2 years old. 1st aux wiring loom burnt out, the one that heats the FUEL filter in cold weather, the gave £250 john Lewis vouchers as compo We're fobbed off with the burning smell is the air con needing anti bacterial treatment and then get a phone call from main dealer the car has burned out / smouldering wiring. 2nd water pump started peeing out water! Told a common fault and that radiators also like to go. 3rd rear door window seals went mouldy, they changed them, now at 85 it's like the windows are open! shems wife's car the same on 19k miles clutch went! Total excellent build quality, no worries there.

Reading the reviews they get glowing reports. 3 year warranty and it helps I knew the sales manager so if I do get any issues I'm sorted lol.
