One of my all time comedy heros, hard to believe he's gone, especially the way he has.

I don't know what to write here, the guy was a legend but I really don't understand suicide. It seems very selfish to me. Anyway, a big loss to the world & more importantly his family & friends left here trying to work out what went wrong

Anyway, a big loss to the world & more importantly his family & friends left here trying to work out what went wrong[/QUOTE] I don't agree with suicide but in some ways I can understand it, I have this past year had times for a few consecutive days felt absolutely no emotional, that's the only way I can explain how I felt, I was in a horrible place and I hope I never go back there. I'm not a depressed person and I don't take any medication. As such a massive public figure and for what ever personal commitments he had in his life it must take some strength to deal with it all, even the strongest of persons could fall into depression and I think it must be a very hard thing to shake off depending on what level of depression you have. There are a few puplic figures that I feel I will have a strong emotion towards when they die and he was one of them. I hope his family and friends can be left to morn.

RIP Robin. A truly nice guy. My one claim to fame was meeting him in a bar in Malta during the filming of Popeye.

Very sad day and RIP. Obviously a great comedy genius but I remember him most (weirdly) for the role he played in "One Hour Photo", he was seriously creepy in that and showed he didn't have to be funny to be a great actor.

He was my all time favourite actor and comedian. Remember watching 'Live at the Met' at a mate's house when I was about 12 and was hooked. Apart from the obvious immense comedy talent, I remember first watching Goodwill Hunting and thinking that he really stole the show. He was an incredible actor who could have you laughing until it hurt or stop you in your tracks with the gravitas he could bring to a serious role. Sadly missed. The world woke up a little less funny yesterday.
