Today's The Day..... and I think it will be on of the best and the next few following it, as it is RETRO RIDES time, look forward to the fun and banter of the next couple of days and probably longer nights, the weird, the quirky and the seemingly impossible......I can't wait , hopefully updates here,as they happen ( probably Jimbob falling out of a risky assessed chair after a tinny or 2) may be an ice bucket or 2, it will all be here (I hope if we have a signal)

Well as some of you will know by now, that there was a little more to Todays The Day, as it wasn't all about the start of 2014's Retro Rides gathering. The first task of the day was a trip up to Great Harwood to see Mark (foamyspongeeman) and to collect the Gul 854 I was buying from him and take it to the gathering as I thought it would look great on the stand with the 3 olive 855's and Neal's R, unfortunately the traffic was terrible and thus we arrived late to Shelsley Walsh but not a problem and a great weekend was had by all. An apology to Mark as I was naughty and gave the Gul, 3 blasts up the hillclimb, this was due to the olive killing its brake pads on the way to retro rides, so a hasty change of plan and the Gul was given a quick re-map and turned in a respectable 42.7 second run up the hill, a bit quicker than the Stig's 46 secs :) so here she is and many thanks to Mark, she will be much loved and out to various show and meets thought out the calender, thanks again mate :)
