Locally to me in sussex we have had a sharp rise in the supermarket diesel problems again with cars breaking down etc mostly from a curtain supermarket you can prob guess the one... so choose wisely my tdi freinds :mischievo

My old diesel 960 runs happily on veg oil so I think I'll be ok :)

Completely agree and more so - the diesel sounds rougher, gets worse mpg and has slower performance... no placebo affect. It's often due to the amount of Bio being used by supermarkets to reduce price. This can cause premature injector failure. If you've just bought, have used in the past; or are just interested in a general tune - stick a bottle of this through the system - BG244 - it actually works! Used on my C70 D5 when I owned it (tuned too) and it will go through the new V40 once a year.

our V50 was running very rough after leaving the supermarket filling station the other day, as I drove this rattley car up the by-pass it suddenly dawned on me, that I had just put £20 of super unleaded in her, so a quick about turn and back into the petrol station and filled her to the gunnels with derv, she was a little rougher than normal for that tank full, but back to normal now luckily
