Hi there all! After almost colliding with a stealth pony in the New Forest this morning I finally concluded that I need a lighting upgrade, can anyone point out where I can get the kit and how to do it!

If you're local to the forest, I'm not too far away and I'll be happy to lend a hand. Projector headlamps can be bought from partsforvolvosonline.com (not cheap I'm afraid) and as for HIDs, go for the cheapest kit you can get from a UK supplier on fleabay. They're all pretty much the same and the "canbus ready" kits are a con. What car is this going on?

I have projectors on my car but the light output is terrible! They are fitted with Philips BlueVision bulbs. I have no choice but to fit some HIDs, no problem there. The problem though is that my car still has daytime running lights. I need to turn these off to protect the ballasts I'll obviously be installing as I imagine the lights being on while turning the engine over will ruin them? How do I turn off the drls? Edit that, just been looking around... The little screw in the corner of the headlight switch, thanks Volvo ;)

Usually, there's a little screw on the switch unit for the headlights.
