As some of you will know, I have just bought a set of split rim Propus alloys from Claymore :) I'm going to have them refurbed and powdercoated shortly, but my trusty local powdercoaters have said that they'll only do them if I split them and subsequently re-assemble them... but it'll only cost me £60/wheel which is a bargain.
So, can anyone recommend a place where I can get new bolts? I believe the bolts have standard Torx heads? The wheels are actually made by BBS.
Finally, does anyone know what the torque should be for re-assembly? I've found a reference that suggests 22-24lb/ft ? I know I'll need to use some locktite ;)
Thanks as always

Speak to nealevo. The pegs he has for sale were fully refurbished with some new bolts and torqued up to spec so you should be able to get all the info from him

Wonder wheels down by me did the whole service, £85 per wheel though..!

Apparently the 'top bloke in the country' (Mike The Polisher in Scotland) charges 125 a wheel, so 85 isn't that bad lol. Still prefer my local company's 60/wheel tho!
I'll have a word with Nealevo, thanks for that, I'd forgotten he'd refurbished his.

Heard back from Nealevo pretty quickly - a very helpful guy who offered a few tips as well.
Had a quote from the Wheel specialist in Leeds - £420 for full refurb painted rims and £520 for polished rims... Thats £105/130 each vs my local guys at 60ea... Now thats a big difference which would more than cover any replacement bolts and the fitting of the new tyres!
So it looks like I'll be splitting and rebuilding them myself! I'll put the write up in my project thread (link is in the siggy below if you're interested).
Thanks for all the help everyone :B_thumb:
