Focus ST spec engine mate. Better power delivery throughout the rev range and better fuel economy (until you boot it).
Can you get a proper t5 in one tho
Can you get a proper t5 in one tho
Nah. It's a weird one this. The rest of the traditional Volvo T5s went to the 2.4 lump for post 2004/5 but the C70, S40, V50 and C30 T5 used the dodgy ford setup. We all know which is really the better engine. Get the 2,5 block shimmed and mapped however, it'll be a bit lively.
they had 260bhp mate must to rub it in
Fancy one for a summer car and a bit of light tunning maybe involved
Fancy one for a summer car and a bit of light tunning maybe involved
They weigh as much as a P2 V70R... I've been in Jimka's one (black with 19" Ixion wheels - beautiful) and you can feel the weight holding it back.
Fancy one for a summer car and a bit of light tunning maybe involved but St engine means more tunning ability's
More chance for a split liner ;)
Well it is a ford
I didn't enjoy the power of my 08 C70 T5, in 08 they had 230 bhp too
HLM did a great number on Lance's V50 T5 (which I have run around Oulton Park) - nothing daft, just some FMIC work, injectors and a remap. You can do the full Focus RS conversion if you want to get over 400 - but it isnt cheap and the reliability may be compromised.
