Is this manifold cracked?

As the title says, this is a picture I tool from the bottom of my exhaust manifold. I do seem to get a blowing when the engine is cold but have had people look at it including the company that fitted my Down pipe and exhaust and they say it isn't blowing so today I had a look and see this line on the manifold. You can see the line I am talking about. The car is a V70 T5 so if I do need to replace can anyone give me an idea of price for one of these manifolds? Thanks

That's the casting line mate. It's where the two halves of the die met. It's more likely that the manifold nuts are a little loose.

That line on the manifold is a casting mark from the two halves of the mould. A known place for a exhaust blow is between the head and the manifold.

Thanks guys, I just noticed it earlier and thought the worst like you do, lol. I'll have to try and get to the nuts and give them a tighten, have to wait for it to stop p%$$ing down with rain first. I have read that the nuts can come loose.

I'd be more worried about the coagulated oil around the compressor.

While we're on the subject does anyone know where I can purchase new manifold studs and nuts from?

That's what I was looking at when I noticed the line on the manifold, I have just put a new gasket and o-ring on the oil return pipe, there was a slight leak but a load of road grime, all cleaned off now so will give it a run and check again for any leaks.

The way to tell if the manifold is cracked is to hold the manifold up by putting a screwdriver in one of the bolt holes and gently tap the manifold. If it rings like a bell then its ok If it has a dull ring then its cracked
