Mid-Wales and Shropshire VPC's Mad Dash To Meet The Softies 23/11/14

As Above, A mad Sunday dash to the south coast to the Southern Softies Meet at The Vine, Ower, Romsey, [FONT=arial]Hampshire SO51 6ZJ[/FONT]. the route is not fully finalised yet as I'm not sure who wishes to join us and the route can be changed about to accomodate meeting up with as many as possible along the way, so could be a big old convoy by the time we get there. So we'll start with who's interested and work the rest (times and meeting points) from there.

I was thinking that the others would be there a bit earlier, but I'll be there when everyone else is, I'll still be there at 2 onwards.
I think nicci is bringing Evie to go in wacky warehouse so we may be earlier any how.

Yep it certainly is, probably the last run out for her this year as the weather is getting worse and it will be time to tuck her away in the garage till the weather picks up again. Whilst she is in I'll get around to fitting the new suspension kit that it have here for her and couple of other bits and pieces as and when

I was aiming for a 2.00pm arrival time, probably come down cross-country and then motorway it home for a easy run back in the dark

Star of the show was this 'raised' Polo, complete with seatbelt caught in the door and multi-colour fuel cap, only good thing about it is the 'Apple' logo on the tailgate !

Back home now after a brief stop at the office before home, should get some pic's up tomorrow, great to see everyone today and a big thanks to my convoy buddie Colin, a nice trip down and back, done on just about a tank full at 28.9mpg, but we were giving it a little more boot on the way back than on the we down at 30.1mpg. Well worth the 415 mile round trip :)

sort of, it was nanny taking the grand daughters to see santa and doing a couple of other bits and bobs, it came back in one piece, thats the main thing, just back in from a run to town for supplies, had to take the gul as I'd missed driving it and it was a week since I was last out in her.

I loved driving her when I got the chance, and my Mum has given me a hard time for getting rid of the car, cos she knew what I thought of it. However, my wife and kids wouldn't go in her, because they have absolutely no taste in cars, which you can tell with my wife driving an Alfa. Oh yeah, I have an Alfa as well, so maybe my taste in cars is also questionable, at times.
