Hi all, I have got a 1999 V70 140 petrol v70 with 110K on it which has just started to introduce what smells like recirculated un-burnt fuel into the cab when the blower is on. Are there any usual suspects and what is the best way to track it down? Many thanks and a Very Merry Xmas to all.

I can't seem to find anything obvious that is causing the smell in the cab, but to add insult to poisoning the car is now jerking forward on tickover. It's like riding a camel, not that I've done it. This is accompanied by the ETS light coming on, which is a bit disappointing as I have just had it uprated to the contactless version by Volvo Diagnostics in London. If I stop and turn it off and on the light usually clears but reappears, with the jerkiness after a few miles, which isn't the best. I am fast approaching the point where she might have to go as I have recently been spending good money after bad. If anyone knows of a good V70 D5 around the 2007 era could you please let me know.

If the throttle body's been done, it may be the throttle pedal, or even the wiring.

Had this with my 960 at 103,000
