I haven't found any parts that are common with a Mondeo yet, although I haven't bought much for mine, if you haven't bought it yet have a really good look at the sills. I hope you didn't pay much for it because they're not worth much, I paid £350 for mine, and I recon it's probably worth around £800 now, with low mileage and full history.

My old man is just in the process of selling his. He's had it for 8 years or so. It's a 2.5 awd, nice model, well spec'd, nice wheels, alcantara, etc...
For 8 years I've taken the piss, calling it a Mondeo!! LOL! But in reality it's been an ultra reliable, nice car. You can't fault them really. And although some argue it's not a proper Jag, it still carries a a bit of prestige.

Looking at it tomorrow Col, although I've won it on ebay, if I'm not happy with it I can just walk away. Will check the sills, thanks for the tip.

Following Colins advice, I checked the sills on the car when I went to see it today, and they were rotten, so I rejected the car. Looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer for Jag ownership.

The car was pretty immaculate, but as I can't weld, any potential profit would have gone on fixing it up. The seller has quite a mix of cars, and to be fair to them, you can take it for a day long test drive, or go over it with a fine tooth comb, there's no pressure, and if you're not happy, you can just walk away.

Fair does then, ok if you're local but if you have to travel then a potentially wasted trip with their under described cars.

Yeah, if you're coming a fair distance it would be a problem, but they're only 1/2 hour away from me.
Great spec, great condition, just needs a rear ABS sensor, and a couple of droplinks, and it's good to go. :D
