Right then folks this year York will be held later on in the year for better weather, as usual quite a few of us normally stay the night before have a few beers and a great time. If any of you haven't been to York before its a really good event we have our own parking spaces and also have our own drag lane so we can all race together. This isnt just held to Volvo's, shepbomb with be there with his Scooby clan so please if you have any friends that want to come they are more than welcome also gives for some great banter and racing. Here's what's on 20 SEPTEMBER - SUNDAY UK NORTHERN FINALS The finals at York usually provides some cliff-hangers for those who didn't score enough points at the beginning of the season •Ultimate RWYB •Final Round of American Super Stock •Final round of JDM-DRC •Final Round of PRO FWD •Final Round of Volks Stock •Final Round of Pro ET Sportsman ET •Final Round of Super Cup •R.W.Y.B. There is toilet and food facility's Come as a club Or if you want to come as a club Our facilities are:- ◾Dedicated area for your group to camp and pit your vehicles. ◾Dedicated holding area prior to participants entering track. ◾Qualifying in your exclusive group. ◾Qualifying order posted after each group race - updating throughout the day. ◾Trophy for lowest ET in Club. ◾Public address publicity for Club. ◾No extra charge on standard admission charges for this service. ◾One Organiser per every 10 Club members pre entered are admitted free. Admission is Adult £15 13-16 £7.50 under 13's £ free camping £5 RWYB £30 Please just add your names if you wish to attend or are a maybe and use the other York thread for any questions I know this is early but it gives chance to arrange holidays etc and in previous years is been a really big event. MOT runs out 9th unfortunately so will probably running the S70 unless my Polish replacement arch panels turn up OR the world's first (?) 480 GT Turbo...should miracles happen & the 1.4 engine/manual box swap go smoothly...

Both are 1993 autos, so both cars should have the silver inlet manifolds meaning the later type of B18FT/flywheel pick up...? So shoud be OK http://www.freewebs.com/hjkort/480ecus.htm

Bloody good weekend to end the major "racing season", weather was perfect at York (for a change!) Great company, great folks, nice to see old faces, regular faces and meet some new folk too. Given two years ago when I last raced I smashed a gearbox I will echo James's sentiment in saying "I drove home too!". 14.8 was the best @ 98.7 mph and a 0-60 apparently of 6.6 seconds Thanks all :)
