Hi all, I'm a previous owner who has come back to the world of Volvos in the form of a C70 T5 (again). I have a few questions but wanted to post in the right section so can anyone tell me how to figure out if my car is a phase 1 or 2? It was registered Feb 2000 on a V plate. Thanks everyone Looking forward to getting myself re-familiarised with the car and forum! Ben

Welcome back to the forum Ben, what you have is a phase 1 car with a ME7 engine. BTW pics would be nice.

Thanks Stribo! Just out of curiosity, how do you know that? Is there a certain date it changes? Only have the one pic at the moment - Image The cars far from perfect, but pulls really well, 4 brand new tyres, some good history and really clean bodywork. At £650 I don't mind spending a little bit on it to bring it back to its best. Ben.
Thanks Stribo! Just out of curiosity, how do you know that? Is there a certain date it changes? Ben.
The engine changed from M4.4 to ME7 in the latter part of '98, so as your's is a 2000 it's safe to say it's ME7, also phase 2 C70s weren't produced until 2006, and all had folding hardtop. When you bought the car, did it have a steering wheel cover that was on wrong?

Oh right that makes sense then lol thanks. Nope no steering wheel cover - why do you ask?

The one on facebook had a wonky steering wheel cover on it.
