Hi, phil sorry I don't know the answer, but I was talking with someone the other day about you and your internal auto-dipping mirror and was wondering if you had got it fitted and working in you v70r ??

Just had a dig about and it looks as if the only difference is the 108 is about a £45 quid cheaper bosch unit and fitted to the same v70's and other models of the time. here's a link to a maf specialist http://www.maf-shop.com/index.php?currency=GBP&language=en&cat=c11_VOLVO.html&cPath=11 hope that helps you

I may be wrong but i think the 0280217108 has 4 lugs on the plug, and the 0280217107 has 6

not sure about six lugs, but the plug on the 208 is the later oval type not square like the early 850 ones, I should have spotted that earlier but it was getting late. but why that makes it that much cheaper I don't know

I think they have use the wrong image there, if you pull the others up the oval plug is a 108's and the squares are 107's, Phil will be to tell us for sure when he looks at his mates one

MAF won't cause a misfire, just crap idle or cutting out.
I'd be leaning more towards the ignition coil. The modules are known for getting hot and overheating, failing that the windings in the coil break up.

My V70R had a problem where it drove fine fo over 400 miles and the next day didn`t wanna start and eventually started after a few attempts and was running like crap and no power so plugged in showed up the MAF and replaced with a used one from 2.5t I had at the time.I can`t remember the part number though
