the 340 because the wife liked it, replaced a 1600 Escort so it was a better quality car but did not go very well with the 1.4 engine!
440 Turbo was great, bought it 95 and ran it till 2008 when the gearbox dropped a layshaft bearing, rust was setting into the back end by then so it was time to call it a day.
Got the V40 2.0T to replace that and still use it to get to work, 192000 miles and still going well.
Bought the T5 2013 and had to do several bushes etc plus throttle body to get it to a state where I now trust it!
Thing with all the Volvo's has been the lack of work required apart from oil changes etc., V40 still on the original exhaust, only changed pads and belts in the time I have had it. 440 was still on its original exhaust, think it had new disks as well but not much else.
S60 did need a new exhaust so put a stainless on, wishbone bushes, inner and outer track rods, throttle body, new belts when I bought it at 130000 so I am hoping that will now carry on the tradition of not needing too much changed!

Hmm... This could take a while.
From first to current:
96 P 850 2.5 10v auto estate. (One of the VERY few cars I ever regretted selling)
95 N 960 2.5 24v auto estate. (Nail, had about 3 weeks, died of gearbox failure)
95 M 960 CD 2.5 24v manual estate (still have this, but now with diesel power!)
93 K 240 2.3 SE manual estate (diff locked solid at 80mph)
94 M 940 TD manual estate (was my work bus, gave it's guts to the 960)
S80 SE T6 (still have this, dying to get it mapped, but fear for the gearbox!)
940 2.3 HPT SE manual estate. (Surprisingly rapid for what it was)
95 N 480 Celebration manual (Still have this, can't bring myself to get rid, rotten as a pair)
96 P 460 GSi manual. (The Mrs' first car, stuffed into railings on 2nd day!)

I wanted to keep her and sort the paintwork out, but I just wasn't using her enough. So I sold her and now she is getting to meets, shows etc, with Adrian.

I had new brakes, pads fitted all round wheels refurbed (inc spare alloy), new tyres all round,various other bits and the paintwork was next on my list, i lost my lock up, development issue,couldnt get another one nearby or in a decent place.......sold her very cheap....still gutted but at least she is still out there on the road !!
Looking around for an 850 T5 manual saloon.........not many out there.

There were several receipts from Braydon Volvo I think it was, so that was probably you who had that work done. I had the heater blower sorted, handbrake cables, shoes etc., and did this myself: new antenna, fixed the glove box lid, fixed the driver's seat so that it would recline and come back up, relay for heated mirrors/rear windscreen, new clocks as the mileometer had broke, etc. etc.

Yeah, i used Braydons as they are very good, not cheap but job done properly so done once !
I remember the seat now........the motor moved but the seat didnt..........getting all nostalgic and emotional now...!! lol

Yes it did,didnt notice it too much when i bought her, cardinal sin.....looked at her in the rain.........but to be fair, the man that can did tell me about it......it was quite a way off in colour match !!

No, it's all Volvo related. I was quoted £2.5k for the respray, and I intended to have it done at some stage. However, my wife and kids wouldn't go in the car, and with the lack of usage, I had to part with her but I did love her...............

Thanks for that,will bear that in mind nearer the time.
PCV system to do (which im not a lover of doing so if anyone wants to do it.....payment obviously..) and then timing belt kit and waterpump (Braydons for that) , shes had a stage "0" service and an oil /filter change inc fuel filter change too by me.
Then interior to work through although shes not bad,some dash bulbs and switch bulbs.
She hasnt done many miles in last 3 years so just using her every few days to see how she drives and listen and look out for any issues..............going to keep her totally standard and get her back to tip top..............money pit !!
