Suspended for a fracas with producer, oopsssss they can't do it without him as he own the logo rights and the airing right, basically he owns TG, and they pay him to show it..... Win win
So he had fisty cuffs with one of the producers and they have scrapped the rest of the series
you can only give someone so many warnings

Even if he doesn't own the rights to Top Gear, nothing's stopping him from going to another channel with a program called, say, Sixth Gear. :D
you can only give someone so many warnings
fairs do's but if the BBC or Top Gear is 'bigger than one man', & the filming is done, why bin the series? That is just childish to show they don't need them Unfortunately, like it or not, Top Gear is the biggest thing they've got apart from the fictional programme BBC News (I hate the BBC btw & don't pay any TV licence :))
you can only give someone so many warnings
Agreed but Whats the point in scrapping rest of the series, they own it may as well show it. Tbh this is less serious and means less to the public than the N word, so what he's hit one of the producers.

Suppose if they show the rest of the series they'd have to pay him?

Post 763413 by Pliskin on 2015-03-11 09:49:33

Just come back from a short trip to Chipping Norton where Clarkson has a place and speaking to the locals he is as obnoxius day to day as he is with TV producers, not well liked at all.

They haven't filmed the rest of the series at all, yes they filmed the features but the studio work (links etc) are done on ththe Wednesday before airing

If he has hit someone over something as trivial as what the rumours are, i don't see how anyone can defend him. You got to be pretty pathetic individual to throw a tantrum like that. Also i'm pretty sure most people would get sacked for hitting someone they worked with.
east enders oh dear. Maybe it's all a publicity stunt??
I'm not that bothered anyway, topgear went too scripted and formulaic years ago and it always seems to me that clarkson is always trying so hard to be "outspoken". Hammond sometimes seems to put on this tv "personality" that gets right on my tits, as well It is a shame if it ends like this though, the peugeot bit the other week was brilliant.
