Dear All,
Here is a quick post to introduce myself. As a Volvo enthusiast, I own a metallic red 940 estate, 2.3T, from 1998. One of the last I guest, with only 121000km on the odo!
But my dream was a yellow 850 T5R. Not that easy to find out, so I started looking for something else... still a bit special. I found my car on ebay few weeks ago and stopped by London to get it last week. Car is a full stock 1999 V70R, in Cassis (purple) color with oak interior, AWD, Automatic transmission. I have to change tires and refresh the interior, work on the exhaust cam solenoid and details, but this car is awesome :-)
I am glad to join this forum, as I am sure it will be really helpful to me :-)
Have a nice day!
Nicolas

Thank you all :-)
Sure I will post pictures. I will have to do some work on the v70 before I bring her to the technical inspection, and will have to work on the driver seat, as leather has some wear and tears.
This was a pleasure to drive her home and I will do my best to take care of her :-)

Being rotten really putting up a pic with the car you really wanted in the background, will be working hard on my V70Rawd for the next few weeks with her six speed manual conversion, which will make an already brilliant car absolutely fantastic

Very rare! The last one on here owned by cassisR (?) was broken as the gear box failed :(
How is yours doing?

Merci à tous!! Thank you all!!
My car runs fine, and transmission looks ok. It does not slip and shifts fine. I will have to flush the fluid and replace the oil sometimes as I can tell the maintenance has been badly done. Poor car :-(
Angle gear was not empty but i put 0.75 l of fluid in... So I will have to find new seals and gasket to stop the leak, if it can ne found.
Interior is ok on driver seat will need some care/repair on a bolster but overall, it looks good.
I can't wait to drive it again :-)
Some more news to come soon...
Now I have to change the heater matrix as it died when I put the car back on the road last week-end.

Thanks! Hope it will be fine, as the previous owner did not really care about. I refilled angle gear and changed timing belt, water pump and other items related to the timing, including the solenoid. I also changed tires, brake pads, heater core, rear silencer, front shocks + bump stops and a few other details.
I heard about the awd driveshaft. Is a maintenance possible on this item? About auto gearbox, it seems to shift with no noise or trouble but oil is over the top mark on the stick. Maybe oil change can be à good thing...
