I have read some good things with this, improved engine cleanliness, less change of blocked injectors / dpf etc and improved economy and performance. I think I'll give it a try, the petrol version works well in the sonic anyone have an opinion

I bought an '09 XC90 D5 a few months ago and have installed MTE's software which certainly makes it pick up its skirts and go... just a bit... I use this more expensive stuff, I cannot say that it makes a noticeable difference to the engine output but I have noticed that it gives a small decrease in consumption that probably just about equates to the extra cost. I have no experience of any other benefits in terms of cleanliness. Don.

I used to put it in my off-roader (not cheap at 11mpg)lol and never noticed a difference at first, but if I filled up with normal diesel then it was instantly noticeable! It felt more sluggish, more rattly, took an extra turn to start from cold, used to be able to get 220-230 miles out of a brimmed full tank of "racing diesel" but on the standard stuff is just about get 200. and that's in an old style dirty diesel tractor engined Pajero. Never had another diesel but would imagine there would be noticeable benefits in modern engines.

I will sometimes use it in the D5 but can't say I tell any difference with it, but I'm sure it does clean things out. I think to notice it you would have to use it all the time. The R only ever sees Vpower, if I can't get I will only put in the bare minimum of other brands so that I get to a shell garage.

I use it every so often, seems to clean the car out a bit.

I buy that redex stuff from Costco, I wish I was more sensitive to change. I make myself believe it's better but truthfully I have no idea. You probably get used to it also as it won't be like flicking a light switch and its on , it will be a gradual process, that's why I never noticed things.

I redex mine every so often aswell. Whenever I'm going down the road and just before I service it usually. And when I can run it on Tesco momentum. Seems to like it, the BM's used to be better on it but not noticed as much of a change in the T5.....but then I tend to ignore my MPG a lot in the volvo!lol

I think I'll be making nicci fill up at shell now. She does on occasion boot her car and it's a little rattly when cold for the first 1/2 (only cold weather). Most of this is the lies that doves Southampton made when buying the car (3 yrs old low miles). They stated it had just had a full service, but it's total rubbish, it has not been serviced at all. so I'll have the oil changed so most likely improve the clack in the morning. Other than that main dealer it's been fab.

Use it all the time in the Alfa JTD, but I have noticed today that it has crept upto £1.309/litre, so becoming slightly less attractive.

It's £1.279 here and Anne will be using it in her new daily whenever possible.
You have the points card for what's it worth Graham?
Yup, always get a voucher for a few quid off.
Yup, always get a voucher for a few quid off.
My total is just under 4000 at the mo, so I should be getting a voucher for around £20. Triple points and stuff has helped.

Bloody hell is it that expensive? Ho much was it when petrol was £1.30 a litre?
Bloody hell is it that expensive? Ho much was it when petrol was £1.30 a litre?
Think it got to the high £1.40's and possibly even £1.50 or more at one stage.
Think it got to the high £1.40's and possibly even £1.50 or more at one stage.
not going to get cheaper either!

It's £1.249 for me and I wouldn't use anything else! Even if it was £1.50 a litre I'd buy it.
It's £1.249 for me and I wouldn't use anything else! Even if it was £1.50 a litre I'd buy it.
When the prices were at their highest, I used V-Power for around half my fill-ups, but then I do high miles so I still used quite a bit of the good stuff.
