Looks like the other half is after a c70 convertible I've noticed most of them are autos but I remember reading about the later auto boxes it looks like the c70 has the 5 speed auto box are these the ones that are problematic? Cheers
The bid that causes problems is the Aisin Warner 55-50 sn it's a five speed I have a 2003 c70 convertible I bought for Mrs Orca she loves it. It does however have the turning circle of The Tirpitz and really needs a reversing camera to park it as the tail is high and the back screen is tiny . All that aside they are beautiful cars both to look at and to drive.
The early 5spd geartronics seem to have more issues than the normal 5spd autos and, from what i've read, it's mainly the 2000-2003 that seem to suffer. Also, what engine are you going for? If its not the t5 then, personally, i wouldn't worry. My 2004 s60 2.0t is now on 120k and the box is very smooth, a bit stupid, but smooth.
As said above .. I think the autoboxes got a lot better after 2003.
