Hello all! I'm Mark, and I recently acquired a 2000 V70XC with about 175000 miles on it for $1500. All in all, its probably about the best $1500 car I've owned, but its not without its little issues. That said, I LOVE driving this thing! Anyway, I live in White Salmon, Washington USA, in the beautiful Columbia Gorge, where we have lots of fun twisty roads to drive on! I've been working on vehicles since I was a kid, having grown up on a farm. I have done pretty much everything repair-wise on vehicles, except complete auto transmission rebuilds. When I got this car, I purchased a CheerLink OBD reader which ended up being DOA, so I also got a OBDLink MX. A much better tool! I also picked up a generic blue "dumb" cable for future experiments with NefMoto and other such programs. Today's issue, being a hot day, I found that the air conditioner is not working, so now trying to learn how to use VIDA 2014B... I guess I'll find the relevant threads on this site and post questions there if I can't figure it out. Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about Volvos here! Have a great day!
