Guys I have been a Volvo owner for years now and am a previous VOC member when I bought a classic 480 turbo a couple of years ago. I am again on the hunt for something to keep me busy at the weekends!! I can't find any good 1st generation V70r's for sale and 850R's and T5R's are very rare. Have you guys got them all locked up in your garages or am I just looking in the wrong places!?! Please point me in the right direction.

The only good ones left now are owned by enthusiast's, you can pick up a shed cheap but expect to pay 3k+ to get it mint. Oh and welcome :)
Not all the good ones are owned by enthusiasts, some of us have crap ones :)

Welcome mate , there are still loads of T5 's around you will find one if you take your time. I was parked up on Gibson Street lasts week and there were three of them in a row including mine. They are worth waiting for.
Hi & welcome. A cheap v70r awd on 6 day auction on eBay. Been stood a while but it's a manual so should have the 18t but as said it will be expensive to repair properly. I waited 6 months for mine but they do come up.

There is a n 850 t5 on ebay at the moment in maroon metallic , buy it now is at 1100, bids are at 500, it might even be a member on here who is selling it , it says its been chipped. Yay, more 480 love! :D I've still got mine (although it's nearly dissolved) and there's still a few on here that secretly love them. Welcome along anyway. Patience it a virtue, wait it out and a good one will turn up ;) Stribo's would be worth a look. If it's the one I'm thinking of it's a pretty sound car.

Sorry for not replying lads. Lame effort by me. Thanks for the welcome. I managed to pick up this 850-T5 beauty which I believe perviously belonged to VPCUK member "hemihusky". Full credit to him for maintaining it, and keeping it in mint condtion. No rust whatsoever, the reciepts and personal maintainence records are verging on obsessive and it runs perfectly. The driv back to Lanark from Dunoon was a great Laugh. Only thing chaged by the previou owner was the 17" TITANS and RICA remap with white injectors. Polished her up last weekend- see pictures below. Im still looking for a high spec, lowish miles S60R or preferably the V70R manual or Auto. Iv yet to decide which option to go for. All advice seems to point towards manual, however, there are also benifits for the auto. Suppose I wont know untl I actually drive one as to which I prefer.
