I picked up mine, almost identical to the one you're selling for just £400. Looks like I got a bargain if you're selling this for a grand. Good luck with the sale, it should sell easily for that price though seeing as it's an R-Line.

Because an R-Line looks more like......well this Image Picture from Evo, read more about this impressive VW Polo at http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/287542/2013_volkswagen_polo_rline_review.html
Did your phone auto correct? Because an R-Line looks more like......well this
Nope, no auto correcting was done. I can only go by the official Volvo owners handbook/manual................ :D :wiggle: Image So there we are, end of 'discrepancy'. Now, where were we........
A manual AWD R is certainly a rare beast and that is not a standard exhaust but a £400 BSR/Jetex system :) GLWTS
I admit the Jetex twin system looks nice but it's a little quiet for my tastes, hence I went for a mid note custom built powerflow system. The high-flow sports cat makes a hell of a difference too and I'd recommend it to anyone.
No, I'm just demonstrating and backing up what I typed with an official document.
Can you post up more documentation of R-Line, I would be very interested to see that Volvo call their V70 an R-Line, I've only ever seen an R or R Design on the back of a Volvo.

Post 774865 by Dancake on 2015-06-02 16:24:19

My understanding. An R-Line is a type of car not associated with Volvo, but Volvo have an 'R' Line of cars.

Golf R-Line 32 Nissan Skyline GTR-Line Volvo V70R-Line
Interesting, is it mentioned anywhere else in the manual? Does the manual have a publication date and/or document version?
Rich, he's just winding you up...maybe even intentionally. If the L was upper case (as in R-Line), then yes the manual would be indicating that a Volvo S/V70 R-Line existed. Since the 'L' in lower case, then it is just referring to Volvo's line (range) of 'R' badged cars.

This is how I also read it, or to maybe put it another way... Are the others mentioned above i.e. petrol, turbo, diesel and AWD, exact models, or lines of cars covering multiple models.

Post 774944 by claymore on 2015-06-03 09:34:33

I suspect James is just on a windup again, I for one can't believe he could possibly make so many errors, unless it was a deliberate act to get a reaction.

Another thread wrecked by jamest5 The op was only trying to sell his broken car for the best price.

At least it keeps the sales thread on the first page :)

Not a wind up - I read it in the manual a few days before and then typed it in the reply. Interesting how I provide documentation to back up what I'm saying and yet there's a bunch on here (as usual), who insist I'm typing a load of double dutch.

Post 775014 by MaxTS on 2015-06-04 14:57:30

I think the "R-line" is referring to the R line-up or R spec for that model as a whole. So James, remove the capital L.

I'm not sure a single mention in the manual only relating to the tires qualifies as a view on Volvo marketing decisions or reasoning. Interesting all the same, anyone elses manual makes mention of this?
