Hi, glad to find a forum devoted to performance. The V40 pictured above is my latest and favourite Volvo. My first was an 82 240 sedan, followed by a 1975 245 Station wagon with over 400,000 K on the odometer (which has stopped working at some point before I got the car) which I tried to drive into the ground but it continued to live. I eventually sold it to the wrecker for $50.00 and a few months later see a guy driving it; who knows, it could still be running. After that, I got a 740 Turbo sedan but traded it up got a 740 Station wagon (you call it an Estate in Britain?) because I needed more room - I had three retired racing greyhounds!) That lovely and reliable car got written off in a accident after years of reliable service and I purchased a 850 Sedan, which I drove for a year before deciding I needed more room and I got my present V40, which despite not being a reliable as some of my previous vehicles is my favourite. I'm the process of making it a bit faster and handle better. This forum seems like a good place to start. People don't seem to be interested in modding their Volvos in North America but there seem to be a healthy community in the UK. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you over the years. I'm Barton

Welcome aboard. I'd really like to go to Canada. I actually work for a Canadian company, but they haven't given me a "bonus holiday" yet!
