Hi I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the difference between the engines in the v70r and v70t s engines as they are both 2.5 but the R runs 300bhp where as the T S runs 210 bhp, would. Simple map make up the difference? Cheers Tom

As posted in your other thread, turbo, map and intercooler.:D I think the traction control would be working overtime with just FWD though. lol

What are they like for mileage these wagons? I don't really know much about the volvos at all other than they're built like tanks. Sorry for all the questions

TBH if you're looking at a V70R with that mileage, it has to be cheap, and have a very good history.
And a LSD.;)
na you can push it to 320 bhp without an lsd with good tyres I needed the LSD when it went over 350bhp
na you can push it to 320 bhp without an lsd with good tyres I needed the LSD when it went over 350bhp
I've driven a S60 D5 185bhp, and the traction control light was almost permantly lit when accelerating from low speed, I can't see a 300BHP plus T5 being much better. ;)

theres alot more torque in a d5

I wouldn't mind the 2.4 t5 but the only ones I can find are automatic and heard horror stories about the box when not flushed every 40k, it can be a car killer so that sort of put me off the auto. The one I did like had already been sold. Seem to be going round in circles at the minute
