S80 V8 stainless exhaust.

I have just heard from TME that they are putting the finishing touches to a stainless exhaust for the V8. It is to all intent and purpose hand made and will fit after the first standard box that is a very awkward and difficult shape to copy.... so not quite a cat back in the fullest sense. It will add a wee bit to outputs but will have a beautiful sound, classy tailpipes etc........ Pictures and a price UK delivered to follow, they will likely only be made to order. Don.

Indeed Dave, I would say that most of the UK ones were bought used having been laundered through the dealer/Volvo staff network to get them out at sensible prices. There are always a couple on ebay and autotrader lowest yet around £7.500. Three of my old customers have bought one and two at least lost to this cause as I could not offer an exhaust at that time and I believe they imported from Heico as I suggested.... Don.

This xc90 v8 has some snap crackle and pop on the over run. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rSDtrCxpKKI Doesn't ferrita already make xc90 v8 exhausts, I've heard the standard exhausts are very restrictive with 3 cats.

I've just been looking through YouTube at the V8's and it makes me want one, I'm just to young for an S80 .

I have spoken to one UK specialist who believed that a well designed pair of d'pipes with special cats plus a cat back might give up to 30bhp, so with some software changes maybe 45/50bhp would be attainable. Don.

Don.[/QUOTE] That's roughly what I've seen, it's few and far between tuned v8 Volvo's 350-370 is reckoned to be attainable. It would be nice in the s80. I've read and seen a few times now that there bhp / performance figures are under estimated especially on newer stuff.
