Fitted new rear shocks and top mounts earlier this month. This coming weekend I'm overhauling the front end, so new o.e shocks, heavy duty drop links, all new gaskets and bump stops. I'd been holding off fitting lowered springs, but with new shocks all round on now, I'm also now going to fit some H&R lowering springs. Did my homework on all the top branded springs and H&R came out top for quality, nice subtle drop but also keeping a nice comfortable ride.

Only ever done this once before and that was on my last M3. Ended up taking a massive chunk of skin off my thumb lol.

How much did the shocks set you back?
In relation to the thread I will be beginning my road trip in the 740 :)

£320 for all four brand new shocks and £180 for the springs which are second hand, but only done 4000 miles on them.

Just done the same to mine with h&r springs. I changed my wishbones and polybushed them at the same time. The ride is spot on. Its transformed the ride. Enjoy mate.
