come on, we need more pictures than that
Who owns it now? Does anybody know
No but apparently it did a few rounds in the emerican touring cars after the btcc then was stopped and its not done anything since.
No pleasing some folk :B_thumb:
Very cool. I want that stance on mine lol
Very cool. I want that stance on mine lol
I think we all do,lol.. Nice photo's dude, think I seriously need to drive over and take some myself before I start on this front bumper.

Hmm, for some reason I like that centre exit exhaust....
What have i started lol
Jason Minshaw owns it. He owns demon Tweeks. Awesome car. I kiss it & lick it every time I pop in for a brew.
I'll get some pictures under the bonnet, maybe underneath. Braces everywhere.

i'm curious to which car it is, if you can get a the number off the TWR plate on the SIPS panel inside the drivers door
can see the plate in the bottom left corner
Yeah shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure it was a wtcc car but don't quote me on that. He's owned it well over a year. He has an s40 touring car also apparently.

Jason M bought a set of TWR pistons from me last month for his BTCC S40. Nice chap - understandably kept it to himself what he was wanting them for until he arrived in the Demon Tweaks van! He had already commissioned 3 copies to be custom made in the USA - apparently the set I sold may have been the last unused set in existence - missed a trick there!
Yes I thought as much, so he does own an s40. Never known him have volvo's before, he's a Porsche man usually. Lol He owns an awesome modified gt3 rs.
Thanks for the photos and links. Nice to see the 'real thing'! Some people get soooo upset when the originality of the supposed BTCC 855 that floats about various meets gets questioned!
did you go to Gaydon? lol
Wasn't it a real touring car? Was it a promotion tool?
Looks pretty real to me but then I have absolutely no idea what I'm on about

Makes sense.
How could Rydell and Lammers drive the car at the same time?!
Wasn't it a real touring car? Was it a promotion tool?
personally, i don't think it was even a promotional car. I think its just a road car that someone's made into a replica, it had even still got the sound deadening panels stuck to the inner rear quarter panels (that defo wouldn't of been on the real BTCC car) the part that annoyed me is the fact that when the car first came to light everyone was convinced it was real as it was confirmed to be a genuine by the Volvo enthusiast club, which with a bit of digging you find out the club to be founded/run by the cars owner

I've seen loads of promotion cars in the past. My dad has worked for Toyota for 25 years & these used to be regular things around the pr side of things. They were often road cars stickered up with no engines or boxes. Not sure on the sound deadening. When your 15 you don't really notice things like that. The Tweeks 854 is the real deal. They may have an ecu for it & may be used next year.
