Chaps, Seen lots and lots of info on the right PAS for my 97' V70R. Going to do a flush one night this week. Should I be looking at something like Castrol's TRANSMAX DEX III? - In the book it just says ATF. The fluid colour is so black/brown its impossible to tell the original colour. I know the later models changed to the green stuff. Otherwise I'm off to Volvo tomorrow! Ta Jim
Don't mess about Jim, the Volvo stuff is £17 a bottle and it takes 2 bottles to flush it. Surely it's gotta be worth doing with the right oil?
I used dex 3 and has been perfect on the gul, flushed the olive as well. I did the p2 as well with the correct green fluid, can't remember it's name
3 bottles from volvo @ ~15quid (one spare) flushed 3 times - nice colour now :) Bought a fuel hand pump for a fiver off ebay, made it easy into an old coke bottle.
Is the pas fluid not CHF ? Thats what I have in both of mine
