There was a piece on our news the other night that said that 71% of Liverpudlians would rather be governed from Scotland than Westminster . I personally have no problem with Westminster government I am pretty dismayed that it is led you a party that only polled 37% of the votes cast. Any way you look at it .63% of those who voted specifically did not want them. Democracy would be nice.
Democracy would be nice mate, but is a myth with the system we have now... I didn't bother to vote and most people I spoke to at the time didn't bother either, it all stinks and no-one can blame me for any of the ££££ that's happening now as I didn't vote the buggers in ;)
Bill Hicks used to do a joke where he argued that people who dont vote are the only ones who can whinge about politicians, the rest of us who did vote are simply encouraging them.

I think we are comming to that conclusion in the south aswell jamesy. They are out of touch but don't fear brothers we have a plentiful supply of bacon, volvo's, and crumpet so we live in paradise in our time :) Jd I told you this forum is good and a good laugh ;) no one falls out here either which is great glad youre enjoying it.

It's a strange old place, the lounge on VOC. Just a random selection of people that seem to hate each other and their views post about potentially controversial topics that just split people further apart. A majority of posters don't know one end of a Volvo from another and all this on a Volvo forum, it can be quite laughable :) This made me laugh: A regular poster had just got a V70 P2 and they commented on it being a handful one day due to it being RWD. Ha! I corrected them and they said they thought it was RWD 'cuz the backend slipped out on them in the wet winter lol!

There were a few of us waiting whilst our cars were being serviced and no word of a lie I heard one salesman say to another quite loudly, 'Volvo XC70, is that 4 wheel drive?'.
