I now have a M59 to replace my old M59 which is getting noisy. The question is this. The replacement is an M59 from a V70R, my existing car is an 850R. One has an external clutch slave, the later, an internal slave. What exactly do I need to do to convert the latter to the former? I've got a garage doing the job for me, and I want to minimise the amount of time they spend trying to work that one out!
Shem did explain this to me briefly...and it sounded simple enough at the time...but I've forgotten exactly what he said. D'oh!
If anyone has a photo of the inside of an 850 bell housing, that'd probably explain it pretty well.
Thanks in advance.

the mounts for external slave are already there iirc so nothing much, might have to tap them.
although you may have to make a hole for the clutch fork, but that's already marked out in the casting (I think)
Been a while since I've done one but just compare and it should be apparent.

Have you got the internal slave and piping with the M59?

That would be to run a dual mass? Although I think you can run a single with internal slave as well.
Internal slave is a nice light clutch pedal as well
