Hello, I'm Martin and I've recently acquired a 2001 X reg V70 T5!
I paid a massive £350 for it, FVSH and 93,000 miles. It was sitting in a "barn" for a few years and it needed bits and bobs to pass the MOT. Front brake caliper and a broken spring mainly.
Had a slight problem with the handbrake as the previous owner botched it. Basically the lining has come off the shoes and jammed therefore shearing off the cast block on the hub! so I got a new second hand hub, built all that back up, new shoes and handbrake cables (handbrake cables were so easy I dont understand all the threads of people moaning about it). The only thing I did do, was retrofit adjusters from an older V70 as the expansion things were just total pish! since the only adjustment is at the handbrake cable.
So after all that it's done no less than £800 worth of damage so I'm happy with that. I still have a few small niggles but I'm working through them slowly.
