Hi All,
I have the above car and have had it a year or so. It's done 112k and is in pretty good nick. Could do with the wheels being refurbed and a few other jobs. Biggest problem is a possible pourous or internally cracked head. It used to leak oil from exhaust manifold studs but after sealing them up it dosent leak externally but it does smoke when left idling for a while. In normal driving you don't see it though.
Struggling to upload pictures though!

N668? Manual? Nice I like olive greens, especially when they polish up nice

Yes N668 PJF. It dosent look bad as I am no detailer and she does come up fairly nice.
I suppose it could be a combination. Of stem seals and unfortunately a crack or pourosity because it used to leak down the exhaust manifold stud, onto the manifold and really stink!
The fix has held for a while now but hope that hasn't jinxed it!

I also had a charging problem so removed my alternator and fitted a new regulator. Not a job I would like to do again!

you wish....but it would be far more reliable than that saab thing you have and easier to fix if it did go wrong

Yes I bought it from Worthing for 3500 I think. Defo to much with the oil leak and possible head problem. I am daft though cos I see a car and just decide to buy it whatever!

I only paid £2500 for the sonic blue in sig, but was some work to fix it up.
My olive was £350 again lots of work to fix up, it's on it way to mot next week (fingers crossed)

I paid £1000 for my olive T-5R about 18 months ago.

A good buy Colin, prices are still all over the place, your olive was in much better condition than mine, I quite literally recused it from a breakers, tbh it's been a pita needing everything, but on the upside it's now mechanically sound with a 100k engine and 6sp box with 25k.
The list of what's been done is a long one, same as the Gul it was a heap when I got it and the sonic had a split liner.
There's certainly cars about that are "fixer uppers"
