After seeing a few of these I have decided to make one for myself, having access to a laser cutter helps! First a backing plate 3mm acrylic Image Image Then a front piece out of 5mm acrylic with tricky tabs cut out and holes for the standard plastic connection Image Image Image All fitted Image With gauge Image Image Without a backing plate Image Image Hoping to fit this in the car once I've given it a proper spraying in satin black, as I only had a tiny amount left in the spray can, as the donor air vent was a grey eBay job. It's a snug fit, I think you could fit it either with the backing plate and no bracket which means you could put it forward if needed, or with just the front plate and the bracket for a more permanent fit. Might be tempted to knock up a few if people are interested

That's a cracking job you've done there. I like my air con too much to lose a vent so I modified the speedo cowl to take a gauge :) Image
