Superb....If there's just ONE meet in the year I could go to - the annual EVO meet would be it.
The DeRv will be there :B_thumb:

Yeah I'm sorry also, its year end at work so I'm really busy early November. Also the car isn't good at the moment as I still haven't had the gearbox sorted yet so a bit crunchy slipping into 2nd.
I'm waiting for Shem to get his head around mapping the me7's well enough to do a gt28 map and also for him to have the time free to do the work to get the gearbox and turbo swapped together as well as some other general service items that I may as well get done while the engines dropped.
The car had a run in with a garden wall while I was out and a family member decided to move it to get access to the garden gate, not to much damage but will need the front passenger door spraying. luckily no dents but not looking its best atm.
I'll make an effort to do a late November shrewsbury meet even if the cars not perfect as I haven't been able to attend many meets this year.

no worries mate, timing hasn't been great for me, for some of my usual meets this year and have missed out on a lot of the usual drag racing meets, but there's always next year ( that's what I keep telling myself )

The GLT handled lovely! Even though I have swapped the shocks and springs over to my SE, the lack of rear anti roll bar is very noticeable! The SE cam with self levelers as standard, hence the lack of anti roll bar! To buy the anti roll bar kit, IPD ones are mega bucks!
Postcode
The postcode is really number dependent as the cafe we normally use only has a small car park (Ty Tan Llan Cafe at LL21 9SY ), so as numbers are already looking high we may use the cafe just east of the village on the A5, I but have just discovered another possible cafe in the area so I will be going on a recce before the event to finalise the meeting point. Right update time, due to number attending this year we will need to meet at a different cafe to normal as the car park is to small for our requirements, so we will assemble at 10.30-10.55am so we can observe the minutes silence at 11.00am as it is remembrance sunday, we will be meeting at Country Cooks on the A5 Two Gates, Ty-nant, Corwen LL21 0PT. Just popped in there today and all looks good and they will be happy to see us and there car park is big enough to cope with an invasion of volvos, so see you all there sunday week...:)

Hi guys and thanks for thinking about me Dave, I know it's been a while...
Your correct Dave it is the one event I like to attend every year... but i'm afraid I've got my dates mixed up.
I will be in Shropshire next weekend the 14th for my Brothers, daughters Birthday....
So that's me out.... annoying doesn't even come close!
Looks like the best meet ever as so many new faces are going...
Have fun guys and I'll have to update my project thread soon as it's been a year.
I think I am able to use VPC on my phone now so will try to be around more :-)

It helps if you have a car that isn't lowered to much also, I admit I definitely hit my talent barrier on those farm track roads though, but that's where experience takes over, unfortunately we don't get many sheep paths here in Birmingham.
Post 790396 by MoleT-5R on 2015-11-09 15:53:10
I think next time, we would try to keep the roads to maybe B standard as a minimum, only a very few good unclassifieds sloted in to keep a certain person happy ;), the rest would be made up of sweeping A roads to get between the fun sections. The only thing I see with an event like that will be numbers, these would most likely have to be limited, so as not to lost anyone from the group or have to spend to long regrouping at regular intervals. Should be a good weekend and we could do as before and meet more people at the evo on the Sunday when numbers could then be higher, as we'd all be in the one area.
Post 790399 by claymore on 2015-11-09 16:07:06
we could actually make a better go of it this year with proper tulip notes so if someone fell behind they could catch up at a re-group point, I'm up for helping with the organization and reccying for next year.

Had already thought about a road book with tulip notes for people to follow, you will need to note the distances.... (as I haven't had a working speedo in the car for the last 2 1/2 years, which is funny as when I've been done for speeding it's always been in the other cars which have a working speedo...doh) I will also be a good excuse to do a good few recce runs into the wilds of Wales, Colin....;)

I think I will struggle to keep up with the petrol turbo cars so I don't mind going last then if someone gets lost they can follow me.
If they can't keep up with me they shouldn't be on a performance Volvo meet. :)
I've not been since March time when I had great fun with the boys & beating my old civic type r.
