:cussing: I've got a manual conversion to complete. A dashboard to swap over a T4 that needs a turbo swap before MOTing....... bloody bad back for about a month means no rolling around on concrete floors for me at the moment. Lets hope the Doctors on Monday have access to horse pills....:grumpy::grumpy: I'm like an OAP and struggle even put my shoes on at the moment and getting in and out of a car is fun...... So instead, I'm getting value for money from my SKY subscription as I must have watched all 1000 movies when all I'm doing is working and then sitting on my arse...

I can walk on your back if it helps you out mate? (Or help with a spanner).

I feel your pain mate, mine's still not right after putting it out changing my heater matrix.

What you need is some Tramadol. Two tablets and all your pain will disappear :)

Nonsense it was driving that Bmw that did it
Nonsense it was driving that Bmw that did it
Funnily I twisted my foot when I drove the 960 to wales in on go without stopping. Realised I was sitting completely "to ££££" bending my leg in such a stupid angle for 4hrs.... that made me limp for a short while out of the car. I've had a weakish back following a day lifting lorry tyres on to a lorry trailer, but usually I repair myself after a day or two, but 1 month of having to roll out of bed and not being able to reach my feet in the morning is not longer funny.

I know how you feel, I have the back, knee and foot issues, but handily also a gp that likes to prescribe opiate strength pain killers.

I feel your pain mate. I had to fit my kitchen with pretty much the same symptoms. Codine, Diazipan and big ass orange things that tasted like hairspray didn't even touch it.

You need to get straight onto liquid morphine. The king kiddie of pain killers. You'll put your turbo on upside down & probably loose a finger or two to the dash, but you won't feel a thing. Promise. The DTs are a bit of a pain but not as much as it turns out as a ruptured disc. Good stuff but you'll probably have to blag a couple of days in hospital to get it. Get on the Mackenzie stretches as soon as poss, just google it. Good luck fella, I feel your pain, literally! Oh yeah, get in the pool too, only place I've felt human for about 9 months. Should have grown my first set of gills shortly :)

Agreed on the swimming & also walking helps me. Broken my back twice & its always this time of year I feel it. So from this post I've realised we all have glass backs & people ask why we drive Volvo's. :)

I'm Walking the dog between 3-5miles almost every day already. I get home and my whole right leg is numb after. I used to swim loads, but haven't for about 10yrs. Let's see what happens tomorrow. I'd prefer to exercise it rather than taking pills, but it's not working so begrudgenly it's the docs in the morning..

Just a thought for an alternative to do while walking the dog

Bad times, Fella :( As said, Tramadol are fecking awesome, but as with all strong painkillers (more so with opiate derived ones) they are mega addictive. I try not to take many with my back. It ALWAYS aches, but I fail miserably though sometimes as I just have to give in. This is the main reason I'm always designated driver whenever there's a family trip or bunch of mates going somewhere - my seats are awesome and heated! Hope you're rolling around under the cars soon, Fella.

I'm another with Sciatica for the last 20 years, when it's there it turns you into an old man (as opposed to the sprightly 40 year old normally) Hot batchs, deep heat, anti-inflammatoris, massage from the missus, some ibruprofen and I'm normally OK after a few days, but horrible when it's there!

Massage with a happy ending always helps ;)

I know how you feel, I think I would have finished the T-10 about a year ago, but I can only work on it for about an hour then rest for a couple of hours.
Massage with a happy ending always helps ;)
In that case the 'missus' part is open to deletion

I'm on liquid morphine (oramorph) and normal morphine sulphate tablets every day and it only just takes the edge off my back. :grumpy: I tried swimming last week, it certainly helped strengthen a few muscles. I had to keep a sharp lookout for any whaling ships though, LOL. Hope you feel better soon!
