s70 t5 p reg 2.3
fitted a dawes device to my car the day i think ive plumbed it wrong and want to ask you guys afore i go at it again does it go in the pipe from actuator and compressor i only fitted it because after takin out my indunction kit to clean it the actuator pipe end broke clean off the boost solenoid so needed a quick fix as now drive it everyday its only boosting to 0.7 and holds there right up the revs doesnt matter which way i have device and turned it up and down wont go higher than 0.7 i have already replaced all the vac pipes to and from boost solenoid the other day i have no dump valve and a blankin plate on turbo just thought id up it a bit not much i have a mechanical boost gauge fitted
thanks

Leave it at .7 then replace the tcv and get it remapped for more power, will be a better drive..

depends what you call "a better drive", remaps are too soft. I prefer the aggression from a MBC

according to another forum ive fuked this up. it says nothin about using the pipe of the compressor this doesnt get touched its just the actuator pipe and the other pipe off boost controller???

ive left the intake 6mm pipe connected and teed from atuator to compressor think i no now afte bit more reading

Properly controlled boost makes for a smoother, faster and mechanically safer car. I'm not knocking anyone for using an mbc though.

so am i right in sayin mbc goes between compressor and actuator block 6 mm pipe from inlet pipe and leave the pipes that come off boost solenoid unblocked as no need for this blocked

their's 3 pipes on the boost control solenoid, 2 of them will be the pipes you need. The other goes back to the air intake so will need blocking. You'll have to leave the BCS plugged in to keep the ECU happy, but with no pipes connected

i've beat many a remapped car with a MBC, wish i'd of kept with one instead of going to the Apexi boost controller

thanks i have it plumbed in that way but never blocked the air intake or disconnected it so thats whats probably havin the effect of not boosting any further than .7

got it sorted now it was the air intake pies that were stopping the boost from rising now hitting 1 bar is this stilll safe boost level
